He graduated with an MSCE degree in Geotechnical Engineering at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL in 1980. Richard Morgan Dickinson (PhD, Candidate): Morgan Dickinson, PE, is a PhD student at FIU. He is also an active Associate member of the American society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and member of Japanese society of Civil Engineers (JSCE). He has worked as bridge engineer on Highway Project, Srilanka which involves construction of multi span bridges in the hilly terrain of Srilanka. During his BS he was awarded with the Exchange Scholarship Program offered by the United States Education Foundation in Pakistan under which he studied a semester of Civil Engineering at Kansas State University, USA. He completed his BS Civil Engineering from the same university in 2012. He has also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Structural Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He received the Outstanding Research Award (Furuichi Kimitake Award) in the Department of Civil Engineering during his time at the University of Tokyo. research, he focused on experimental and numerical study of non-engineering defects in RC structures in which he performed shaking table test on RC frames with improper rebar splicing defect under seismic loading. He received his MS degree from The University of Tokyo, Japan in 2017 on scholarship offered by Asian Development Bank. Ali Javed (PhD, Candidate): Ali Javed is a graduate research assistant at FlU with the focus in structural engineering.
